Why Adyta
was founded.

Annie completed her MSc in Green Building and Sustainability and became increasingly frustrated with the gap between what the industry claimed about breathable, bio-based construction and what was actually being delivered on site. She founded Adyta in 2023 to prove it could be done properly — using the right materials, the right equipment, and with the technical rigour that every building deserves.

What makes us
different.

Most installers hand-cast. We do as well, but also spray. The 3CM machine — Sally — gives us a consistency and speed of installation that hand-casting can't match, and it's especially valuable on retrofit projects where the hempcrete needs to adhere to an irregular existing wall without any air gaps. Having both methods in-house means we can choose whichever suits the detail, rather than being limited to one. We're also one of the very few spray operators in the UK with PassivHaus design capability in-house, which means we can support projects from early technical specification all the way through to installation.

Built for
what's coming.

The climate we're building for in ten years isn't the one most of our housing stock was designed for. Hotter summers, wetter winters and more extreme weather are coming, and the industry is under pressure to insulate fast and cheaply. Get the materials wrong and you trap moisture, swap one problem for another, and build something that fails the people living in it.

That's the personal motivation behind Adyta as much as the technical one. We use bio-based materials because they perform in that future, not just on paper today. Vapour-open construction manages moisture instead of fighting it. Real thermal comfort matters more than a number on a certificate. And a resilient building fabric matters more than a brittle one.

The people

Small team.
Deep expertise.

Founder & Technical Director

Annie

MSc Green Building & Sustainability · Certified PassivHaus Designer

Annie founded Adyta after her MSc revealed the gap between how the industry talks about breathable construction and how it actually delivers it. She manages technical specifications, hygrothermal assessments, PassivHaus consultancy, and client relationships on every project.

Site Director & Master Installer

Jack

Natural Builder · 3CM Spray Specialist

Jack leads every installation. He has an instinctive feel for how hempcrete behaves — in the machine, against the wall, and in the building over time. The quality of Adyta's work on site is down to his standards and his refusal to cut corners.

The 3CM Sprayer

Sally

French-built. Proven across Europe for 30 years. One of a handful operating in the UK.

The 3CM is the professional-grade hempcrete spray machine used throughout France and Europe, where hemp-lime construction has a multi-decade track record. Sally is what makes consistent, fast, detail-perfect spray installation possible — and her friend Harry the hemp box keeps her fed. Our team understands these machines deeply: how they perform in different conditions, how to calibrate the mix, how to achieve a consistent installation every time.

What we believe

Our values.

  • Material honestyHempcrete does what it says — we don't overstate it.
  • Technical rigourEvery build-up is checked, every junction is considered.
  • Long-term thinkingWe build for the lifetime of the building, not just the handover.
