From first email
to final wall.
We quote within 5 working days once design details are confirmed. Staged payments keep things manageable for everyone.
Enquiry
Email or call. Project type, location and stage — the earlier the better.
Get in touch by email or phone with a brief outline: what the project is, where it is, and what stage it's at — planning, design, or ready to build. The earlier you involve us, even before drawings exist, the more useful we can be on material choice and build-up.
Design review
Online meetings. We go through drawings, sections, details and flag technical queries.
Once we've got drawings or even sketch proposals, we'll set up an online meeting to go through them properly — wall build-ups, junctions, window reveals, anything that affects how the hempcrete will perform or install. We flag technical queries early so there are no surprises once we're quoting or on site.
Site assessment
Site visit for nearby jobs. Photos and video for distant ones. Access and logistics confirmed.
For projects within reasonable travelling distance we'll visit site directly. For anything further afield, clear photos and a walkthrough video usually tell us what we need. Either way, we confirm vehicle and machine access, water supply, storage, and any scaffold requirements before quoting.
Quote & confirm
One clear estimate for the installation. Travel and accommodation costed separately.
You'll get a written estimate for the installation as a whole, with travel and accommodation quoted separately rather than itemised into the main figure. Once you confirm, we book your slot into the calendar — for busy periods this is worth doing as early as possible.
Install
Day 1 is setup and masking. ~3m³/day. Walls left clean and plaster-ready.
Day one is spent on setup — protecting floors and fittings, masking surfaces that don't get sprayed, and getting Sally and Harry into position. From there we install at a rate of roughly 3m³ per day, depending on complexity and access. Walls are left clean, true, and ready for a breathable plaster finish.
Before we arrive

On site
- Good, clear vehicle and machine access to site
- Reliable water supply on site, for mixing
- Secure, dry storage for materials delivered ahead of install
- Scaffold in place before we arrive for elevated work
- Clear programme information — when the install fits into the broader build sequence
Payment stages
- Stage 1 — 30%, due 10–14 days before we arrive on site
- Stage 2 — 40%, due after the first 10–14 days on site
- Stage 3 — 30%, final payment due on completion
Construction programmes shift, so your slot is pencilled into the calendar on confirmation — we'll stay in regular contact about site progress so any changes to timing are agreed together and not a surprise.

- Booking: we'll give you our next available slot — book early for busy periods
- Installation rate: approximately 3m³ per day, varies with complexity and access
After we leave
After
installation.
Walls are left clean and plaster-ready.
Allow 4–6 weeks drying time before applying plaster — longer in cold or damp conditions.
Finishing plaster and all paints must be vapour-open to allow continued drying. See our technical page for recommended finishes.
Plastering makes the building significantly more airtight, so we strongly recommend reviewing your ventilation strategy alongside the install — let us know if you'd like our support with this.
